I do not receive email notification until unless I open the app. I am using inbox for 3 gmail accounts. I do not sync my gmail account which I used for google play, but I do keep other account sync on all the time. All the permissions are given to the app, autostart is also enabled, there is enough memory in the mobile (more than 20gb).
